Project synopsis
VenTERRA established a contained asbestos work area inside a Thousand Oaks property, with a marked entry, protected access route and air filtration equipment beside exposed wall framing. The project illustrates how containment and surface protection work together during interior abatement.

Containing the work inside the property
VenTERRA’s Thousand Oaks asbestos abatement project involved an interior work area with exposed wall framing and an access route that extended through a staircase and landing. Our team used plastic sheeting, taped floor protection and a marked containment entrance to define the work zone.
The entrance carried asbestos warning signs in English and Spanish. Inside, an air filtration unit was positioned alongside the opened wall area. These details show the practical setup around the abatement work: a recognizable boundary, a protected route into the space and equipment placed within the contained area.
Protecting access and surrounding surfaces
Working inside an existing property calls for attention to the spaces around the removal area. At this project, the stair treads and landing were covered, while taped sheeting protected the floor around exposed framing. That protection continued beyond the immediate wall opening, connecting the work area with the route used to reach it.
Containment planning is an important part of professional asbestos abatement. The enclosure, access arrangements and equipment need to suit the materials and scope of work. The project photos below show those elements during this Thousand Oaks job.
Planning asbestos removal in Thousand Oaks
If renovation or demolition may disturb suspect building materials, start with the available inspection and testing information. That gives the abatement team a basis for discussing which materials are involved, where containment may be needed and how the work fits into the larger project.
